Near to You
Bring your cooking to Near to You
Near to You gives independent food professionals a place to describe their work and prepare an offering for local customers. Start with a provider account, build a profile and submit an application for review; neither applying nor saving a profile automatically publishes your listing.
Start in the provider workspace
Choose the provider workspace when joining Near to You. Begin with your display name, location and services, then complete the profile in the chef studio. You can work on a private draft before publication; a saved draft is not visible as an approved public listing. Set expectations for the work you actually offer instead of claiming skills or coverage you cannot provide.
Give customers a useful introduction
Explain the cuisines and kinds of work you take on, from meal prep and hosted dinners to restaurant shifts or bar service where applicable. Add service areas, a starting price with its unit, menu examples and a clear introduction. Describe your experience and any credentials accurately: the platform's review process does not independently endorse professional qualifications or certify food-safety training.
Show your menus and portfolio honestly
Use the Photos & menus area to add your own approved materials that demonstrate your style and available offerings. Sample menus and photos help a customer understand your work, but they do not promise an identical menu at every booking. Keep rights to the images you upload, explain substitutions and ingredient responsibilities, and discuss dietary or allergy procedures directly rather than suggesting clinical care.
Submit an application for manual review
The Verification area collects application details for manual review, including experience and food-safety and insurance information. Supply truthful information and watch for feedback or requests to revise it. Application approval and approval to publish a public listing are distinct manual decisions. Neither is automatic, and approval of an application alone does not make your listing public.
Wait for separate listing approval
Your public profile requires its own listing approval before customers can discover it. The studio shows whether the listing is published; saving changes to the profile can require renewed manual listing approval. Publication is an administrative state, not a guarantee of credentials, licensing, work, inquiries or income. Keep your services and availability current and verify requirements applicable to your location.
Turn inquiries into a scoped conversation
Once published, your profile can be found by customers and you can review relevant RFQ inquiries or direct booking requests. Clarify the date, site, guest count or shift, supplies and staffing before responding. RFQ estimates are nonbinding; a selected estimate opens a booking request, not an accepted reservation. Review the request and send final quote and terms where supported, then follow the separate confirmation steps. Work or payment is never guaranteed.
Use the studio to shape your offering
The chef studio also has areas for availability, service packages and optional Rush settings. These tools help you state what you can offer, including included items and grocery arrangements, but do not replace a discussion of exact scope and final terms. Read the business tools guide before adding packages or opting in to short-notice requests.

Frequently asked questions
Does submitting my application publish my listing?
No. The application and the public listing each need separate manual approval. Your draft and application are not a published profile.
Does approval certify my training or guarantee jobs?
No. Approval is not a credential endorsement or guarantee of inquiries, bookings, income or availability.
Can I change my profile after approval?
You can edit your profile in the studio, but saved changes require another manual listing approval before publication.
What happens when a customer chooses my estimate?
Selection creates a booking request, not a confirmed job. Review its details and send a final quote and terms; confirmation is a separate step.
